Ironheart will first appear in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and then she gets her own show. Production is now well underway on that show for Marvel Studios. The first pictures of the Ironheart costume have started appearing online direct from the production in Atlanta.
The always reliable Just Jared posted images from the set over the last couple of days. These feature both Dominique Thorne in partial costume and what appears to be a CGI capture suit, but also a first look at the villain. In the Heights star Anthony Ramos is set to star as Parker Robbins aka The Hood.
In the comics, The Hood is a rising criminal underworld figure with a direct connection to Doctor Strange lore. His cloak and boots originate from interdimensional villain Dormammu and he has some abilities close to Strange.
It is not clear what role Ironheart will play in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever for the MCU. In the comics, Riri Williams was a 15-year-old engineering student from Chicago who is a certified super-genius. She attends the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on scholarship and works alone to design a suit of armor similar to Iron Man using material stolen from campus.
The series will also star Alden Ehrenreich. The rumors online say he will play Zeke Stane, son of the villain from the first Iron Man movie Obadiah Stane.
