Director Teaming Up With The Paranormal Activity Team

The Batman director Matt Reeves and Paranormal Activity’s Steven Schneider are to produce a period horror movie called Switchboard.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script has been written by Devon Graye, whose film is set in the late 1940s and tells the story of a female switchboard operator who finds herself talking to a serial killer.

Graye is known for portraying teenage Dexter in the TV series, but he broke out with his thriller I See You, starring Helen Hunt, premiered last year at SXSW.

Reeves, who is currently working on The Batman movie, will produce with Rafi Crohn via their 6th & Idaho banner. The project is being partially financed by Dark Hell, which is also producing the film.

Schneider has also produced the Insidious franchise, the shocking sequel to The Blair Witch, and the remake of Pet Sematary.

There are no other details when Switchboard is slated to begin production or be released, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.
