HBO has unveiled the first poster and some new images for House Of The Dragon, the prequel to George R.R. Martin’s Game Of Thrones.
Set two centuries before Game Of Thrones, the ten-episode prequel series will depict how the House of Targaryen fell into a bitter and brutal civil war known as the Dance Of The Dragons which was the beginning of the end of the ruling family of Westeros.
Paddy Considine is leading the cast alongside Emma D’Arcy, Milly Alcock, Olivia Cooke, Emily Carey, Matt Smith, Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel, and Graham McTavish.
Game Of Thrones was a cultural phenomenon when it was released back in 2011 but for all the amazing episodes and world-building it accomplished, sadly some fans only want to remember the underwhelming final episodes.
Hopefully, House Of The Dragon will once again capture lightning in a bottle and we’ll be treated to another series of epic greatness.
Before you head off to the comments, whet your appetite with the show’s teaser from October last year.
