Filming Wraps On New Season
The production has officially wrapped for the new season of Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys, although we still have to wait until next year to see the new episodes.
Amazon has dropped a teaser to tide us over.
Sourced from the official Twitter account for the series is a new video clip. The video begins with a VHS filter, displaying the Vought logo and the date “3-16-1994,’ and goes on to reveal a brutal event in the early life of the series’ villain, The Homelander.

The teaser reveals the “training” that Homelander went through when he was young at the hands of Vought. He’s shown a series of images of the American flag, a baseball game, and a depiction of Jesus, as he spouts off what they are and their relevance to him and the world. Things escalate and continue to get more and more uncomfortable until they reach a breaking point.
The first season of The Boys primarily focuses on two groups. The Seven, Vought International’s premier superhero team, and the titular Boys, vigilantes looking to keep the corrupted heroes under control. The Boys are led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban), who despises all superpowered people, and the Seven are led by the egotistical and unstable Homelander (Anthony Starr).
As a conflict ensues between the two groups, the series also follows the new members of each team: Hugh “Hughie” Campbell (Jack Quaid) of The Boys, who joins the vigilantes after his girlfriend is killed by one of the Seven, and Annie January / Starlight of The Seven (Erin Moriarty), a young and hopeful heroine forced to face the truth about the heroes she admires.
It also starred Elisabeth Shue, Jennifer Esposito, Karen Fukuhara, Laz Alonso, Tomer Kapon, Chace Crawford, and Jessie T. Usher. The Boys is set to return in mid-2020 on Amazon Prime.
