Prior to El Camino airing on TV, AMC has released a behind the scenes featurette with Bryan Cranston, Vince Gilligan, and Aaron Paul revealing how they created the scene featuring Walter White and Jesse Pinkman.

Although El Camino was the epilogue for Paul‘s Breaking Bad character Jesse, one of the final scenes flashes back to his time in the series along Walter.

Cranston said of his cameo –

“When I finally read the script, I was so into the story, so into what happens to Jesse, I absolutely forgot that I, Walter White, was in this movie,”

Also for you Breaking Bad theorists out there, Cranston reveals that in a preliminary dinner with Gilligan when the director first pitched the movie to him, Gilligan is certain that Walter White died at the end of the original series.

On Super Bowl Sunday, the actors shared a selfie outside of the Hard Rock Stadium, all the while promoting their mezcal brand Dos Hombres on their caps. Paul posted on his Instagram –

Originally released on Netflix as an exclusive last fall, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie makes its TV premiere on February 16th at 8 p.m. local time on AMC.
