HBO was never in a rush to end Game of Thrones as it was a monster hit of a TV show. So it’s no surprise that HBO is working on, not only one, but three prequel shows in hopes they can live up to the success they had with the original series.

One of the shows is looking to be called either 9 Voyages or Sea Snake. This series is being headed by Rome co-creator Bruno Heller. However, the other two shows known as of right now as Flea Bottom and 10,000 Ships have no writers at this time.

9 Voyages (or Sea Snake) is set to focus on Lord Corlys Velaryon, who’s the head of House Velaryon and married to Rhaenys Targaryen. Apparently, they travel on the Sea Snake vessel and Lord Corlys has built a house even wealthier than the Lannister’s and the claims are he has the biggest navy in all of Westeros. This makes him the most well-known nautical adventurer of all time.

Flea Bottom would obviously take place in said place, the poorest area of all of King’s Landing. 10,000 Ships centers on Princess Nymeria. She traveled with the Rhoynar to Dorne, marrying Lord Martell.

There’s another project in the works that’s coming off the success of Game of Thrones called House of the Dragon, which is yet another prequel series. This show is a little more further along with having actors already cast.

Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, and Matt Smith, are set to star with Steve Toussaint, Rhys Ifans, Eve Best, and Sonoya Mizuno rounding out the cast so far. Paddy will be starring as King Viserys Targaryen, Smith will be taking on the part of his younger brother Prince Daemon Targaryen, D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, the king’s firstborn and Cooke as Alicent Hightower.

As of right now, there’s not much else known about these three Game of Thrones prequel series. Stay tuned here for more Game of Thrones prequel news. Same GOT time same GOT channel.
