Marvel’s entire Disney+ slate has been delayed, some of it by up to a year, due to COVID-19. However as production is now pretty much fully underway across Hollywood, and across the world, things are getting moving again including Hawkeye.
Marvel fans have been all over social media sharing news that Hawkeye will start shooting this week in downtown Brooklyn. Hailee Steinfeld remains in talks for the role of Kate Bishop, the eventual successor to Clint Barton as Hawkeye. Kate is NOT Clint’s daughter but instead comes from a wealthy Manhattan family.
Jeremy Renner returns in what will apparently be a limited series. The working title to look out for on production bulletins is Anchor Point.
Troop Zero directors Amber Finlayson and Katie Ellwood, who go by the directing moniker Bert and Bertie, will share directing duties across the run with Rhys Thomas (Staten Island Summer).
Hawkeye is pencilled in for Autumn 2021 on Disney+.
