Sequel Pushed Back To 2021
Yesterday, John Carpenter posted on Twitter that Halloween Kills, the sequel to 2018′s Halloween reboot, will be postponed until 2021 due to the pandemic.
And while he also shared a teaser for the movie, Carpenter said –
I know you all have been looking forward to an update on the status of "Halloween Kills". Here it is: pic.twitter.com/EWivyipYgR

The film will now get both a traditional and IMAX release. Here’s the teaser –
The teaser shows Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis), her adult daughter Karen (Judy Greer), and teen granddaughter Andi (Allyson Nelson) in the back of a truck driving away from Laurie’s home following (spoiler alert) their showdown with Michael. Laurie screams at a passing ambulance, heading for her burning house.
In response to the announcement, Curtis said she was “as disappointed as you are,” namely because the film “is a masterpiece,” which she called “prescient and powerful.”
Halloween Ends, the third film in this new trilogy, was meant to open on October 15th, 2021, but now that Halloween Kills has been pushed to that date, Halloween Ends has now moved to October 14th, 2022.
