“I’m Not Shaving Off A Dead Man’s Beard”
Mel Gibson is a broke, bitter, hard-drinking, gun-touting, hard-ass Santa Claus in this first trailer for the upcoming film Fatman.
In Fatman, Santa is thinking about jacking it all in when the US Military comes calling for his services. Then, to make matters more complicated, a kid who was given a lump of coal for Christmas decides to take out a hit on the big guy and employs an assassin (Walton Goggins) to carry out the job.
There are also gunfights, menacing reindeer, a decrepit sleigh, and gluttonous elves.

The official synopsis for Fatman reads –
“To save his declining business, Chris Cringle (Mel Gibson), also known as Santa Claus, is forced into a partnership with the U.S. military. Making matters worse, Chris gets locked into a deadly battle of wits against a highly-skilled assassin (Walton Goggins), hired by a precocious 12-year-old after receiving a lump of coal in his stocking. ‘Tis the season for Fatman to get even, in the action-comedy that keeps on giving.”
Praise Crom this mini-renaissance of Gibson continues, the actor has returned to working in Hollywood in recent years and he is next attached to direct an update of the movie Wild Bunch for Warner. Bros.
Fatman is directed and written by brothers Eshom and Ian Nelms (Small Town Crime, Waffle Street), will be hitting limited US cinemas on November 13th before being released digitally on November 17th.
