Released Date Pushed Back 6 Months

Due to the current pandemic, the release date of Godzilla Vs. Kong could be delayed until May 2021, taking the release date held by The Matrix 4.

The Adam Wingard-directed film marks the climax of a series that began with Godzilla in 2014. Godzilla Vs. Kong had been due to arrive this month but was bumped last year to November 2020.

This hasn’t officially been announced, however, a behind-the-scenes book The Art Of Godzilla Vs. Kong, set to be released on November 17th to coincide with the film’s November 20th opening, will now be released on May 21st, according to the publisher’s listing on Amazon. The delayed release date of the artbook was first spotted by a user on Reddit.

So, we guess an official announcement is imminent, and plot details, officially speaking, are largely under wraps for the time being.

The film stars Millie Bobby Brown and Kyle Chandler, who both featured in King Of The Monsters, along with Julian Dennison, Brian Tyree Henry, Demian Bichir, Alexander Skarsgard, Eisa Gonzalez, Jessica Henwick, Rebecca Hall and Lance Reddick.

Warner Bros. next major release, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, could be pushed back four weeks if 80% of the world’s theaters haven’t resumed operations by July 17th.

Good luck Mr. Nolan, we’re all counting on you!
