You can always rely on a wrap party to spoil something. A candid shot of a hitherto secret cameo star, a key prop in the background. What happened with the wrap party of the Godzilla vs. Kong sequel was an old classic. Wrap gifts revealing the title before the marketing department did.

The sequel to the 2021 monster mash-up has revealed that it’s title is Godzilla And Kong. Shots of hats, t-shirts, and other items in the wrap party gift bag have been appearing online since the party.

The Godzilla vs. Kong sequel will see the big G and his new buddy Kong, shortly after discovering that both their mothers were called Martha or something, team up once again:

“…against a colossal, undiscovered monstrous threat hidden within our world. Whilst at the same time, it will go deeper into their respective origins, the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond…”

It seems our planet is just bursting with gigantic but hitherto undiscovered beasts. Apparently this will tie everything from the Monarch organisation and the MonsterVerse together, explaining a mythic battle in the past that helped forge these extraordinary creatures and tied them to humankind forever.

Adam Wingard returns to direct his lead from The Guest, Dan Stevens, in what many expect to be the final instalment in the franchise that started with Godzilla in 2014, before giving us Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, and Godzilla vs. Kong before this upcoming outing. This latest movie was shot in Gold Coast, Queensland and across other locations in South East Queensland.

The franchise has so far grossed $2 billion worldwide. Godzilla And Kong is set for a cinema release on March 15th 2024.
