Movie Will Now Be Released Next November

The Godzilla Vs. Kong movie has been delayed for a total of eight months for “strategic purposes.”

This is the second time the release of the film, which is directed by Adam Wingard, has been given the switcheroo.

When it was first announced, Godzilla Vs. Kong was initially slated to hit theaters in May 2020, but that got moved to March 2020 earlier this year.

The new November date comes on the heels of the November 6th release of Eternals, the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie headed by Kit Harrington, Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, and Salma Hayek.

It will also compete with the family film Clifford The Big Red Dog, the Sylvester Stallone action movie Samaritan, and Happiest Season, a romantic comedy featuring Kristen Stewart.

The company’s chairman, Toby Emmerich, said that post-production would be a deliberate process to ensure the best possible film for moviegoers.

“I think that Godzilla Vs. Kong will deliver for fans in a way they were looking for with King Of The Monsters. But it might come out later in the year, so we can deliver an A+ movie.”
