Finally, we are going to get to see Godzilla and King Kong going at it. With the whole theater situation up in the air and release strategies all over the place, it has been impossible for Warner Bros. and Legendary to deliver anything like the marketing you would expect for a release like Godzilla Vs. Kong.

Now that Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. have ironed out their differences over the HBO Max release strategy they can finally kick the marketing up into high gear. The first trailer will arrive on Sunday. This Sunday. The 24th Jan.

In the meantime this rather funky poster will have to tide us all over.

Adam Wingard directs the fourth movie in the franchise following 2014’s Godzilla, 2017’s Kong: Skull Island and 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

Monarch and various other nefarious individuals have been working in the shadows for years to understand the titanic monsters. Why they are here? Where they come from? And can they be controlled? Now human meddling in matter we know nothing about will cause the ultimate monster showdown.

Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza Gonzalez, Jessica Henwick, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler, and Demian Bichir star in the movie. It will be available on HBO Max and in theaters where open on March 26th.

I can’t help it! I am looking forward to this!
