There is good news and there is bad news. The good news is that a new Godzilla theme park ride is coming. The bad news is that we will have to travel all the way to Japan to experience it.

A video has been released for this new Godzilla attraction that will be at the Seibuen Amusement Park when it re-opens later this month. It looks like it is influenced by the Showa era of Godzilla and will be a motion simulator.

Beyond that, it also shows that Ghidorah will make an appearance. Last seen this side of the Pacific as the vanquished villain of Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, he will feature once more in this ride. Check out the promotional video from Japan:

This ride doesn’t take place in the world of the Warner Bros. MonsterVerse, and there is already a Skull Island: Reign Of Kong attraction at Universal theme parks outside Japan, but this is more closely related to the Peter Jackson movie, a Universal Production, than anything Warner Bros. related.

Godzilla did well for Warner Bros. and does seem tailor-made for a theme park experience. Could this make the journey from Japan under license and wash up somewhere in Florida, or beyond?
