Series Premieres On Netflix Next Week
Netflix has shared the final trailer for upcoming One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest prequel, starring Sarah Paulson as Nurse Ratched.
Nurse Mildred Ratched (of the 1962 Ken Kesey tale One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest) is infamous for her tyrannical rule over an Oregon mental hospital, but she wasn’t always a wrong ‘un.
Ryan Murphy’s new Netflix series follows the formative life of young Mildred. Here’s the final trailer –
The Netflix synopsis for Ratched reads –
“In 1947, Mildred arrives in Northern California to seek employment at a leading psychiatric hospital where new and unsettling experiments have begun on the human mind. On a clandestine mission, Mildred presents herself as the perfect image of what a dedicated nurse should be, but the wheels are always turning and as she begins to infiltrate the mental health care system and those within it, Mildred’s stylish exterior belies a growing darkness that has long been smoldering within, revealing that true monsters are made, not born.”
Starring alongside Paulson in Ratched are Sharon Stone, Cynthia Nixon, Sophie Okonedo, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Jon Briones, Corey Stoll, Judy Davis, and Finn Wittrock.
