In among all this DC talk, it is easy to forget that as one mega-franchise starts, another is ending. The Fast And The Furious franchise is a curious beast. It grew out of a smaller scale Point Break clone with cars into a global phenomenon and nobody is quite sure how, or why. It just did. It’s just a thing.
It is ending, though, and Universal Pictures has released the official one-sheet for Fast X as the promotional effort starts to ramp up. This is the finale of the franchise, in two parts, and anticipation is high among the type of people who feel a certain stiffness coming on in an autoparts store.

There will be a trailer that is rumored to be rather big, arriving online on Friday 10th February. A smaller version will be one of the major trailers to feature in the traditionally insane Superbowl advertising roster spot on Sunday February 12th.
Louis Leterrier directs Fast X and is playing with an estimated production budget of $340 million, this makes it the fifth-most expensive movie ever. As I knew you would ask…
That staggering cost included filming in London, Rome, Turin, Lisbon, and Los Angeles. Nice work if you can get it!
The cast features returnees like Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, John Cena, Charlize Theron, Cardi B, Helen Mirren, Michael Rooker, and Scott Eastwood.
New faces are Jason Momoa, Daniela Melchior, Brie Larson, Rita Moreno and Alan Ritchson. This is one hell of a crew.
We can see them fighting crime and stealing secrets through the power of car and fambly with wilful disregard for the cost of property destruction or, indeed, the laws of physics, on May 19th this year.
