A couple of years ago, on the 30th anniversary of Ted Bundy’s death by electric chair, Netflix released the docuseries Conversations With A Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes.
Sometime after that, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Vile And Evil premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, with Zac Efron taking on the role of the killer.
Last year saw the release of yet another docuseries, Ted Bundy: Falling For A Killer, on Amazon Prime.
Now we have this trailer for No Man Of God, which sees Wood sitting down for a game of cat-and-mouse with Bundy in the lead-up to his execution.
RLJE Films official blurb reads:
“In 1980, Ted Bundy was sentenced to death. In the years that followed, he agreed to disclose the details of his crimes, but only to one man. During the early days of the agency’s criminal profiling unit, FBI analyst Bill Hagmaier met with the incarcerated Ted Bundy in the hopes of understanding the psychology of the serial killer and providing closure for the victim’s families. As Hagmaier delves into Bundy’s dark and twisted mind, a strange and complicated relationship develops that neither man expected. Based on actual transcripts of interviews between FBI analyst Bill Hagmaier and the incarcerated Ted Bundy.”
Starring alongside Wood in the film is Luke Kirby as Bundy, and Aleksa Palladino and Robert Patrick in supporting roles.
No Man Of God is directed by American actress and filmmaker Amber Sealey, director of the films A Plus D, How to Cheat, and No Light and No Land Anywhere.
No Man Of God just premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival and arrives in theaters and on VOD starting on August 27th.
