They were investigating a mysterious undersea earthquake off the coast of Africa post-snap in Avengers: Endgame. Many speculated this could be the precursor to the introduction of Namor: The Submariner.
Now in a case of life imitating art, some Avengers have been stopped in their tracks by a real-life earthquake. Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier TV series has had to halt filming.
The series was scheduled to shoot two weeks in Puerto Rico but that has now been suspended following a 6.4 earthquake and a 5.9 follow up quake.
An alternative location to be found and production is halted until a solution is found.
Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are reprising their lead roles. Emily VanCamp will also return as Sharon Carter with Daniel Bruhl will as Helmut Zemo. Wyatt Russell will play John Walker a.k.a. U.S. Agent.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was planned for release on Disney+ around Fall 2020. It is not known if that will be affected by this delay.
