The Jim Henson Company have their new unscripted puppet show ready to go at Disney+. Earth to Ned features a blue-skinned alien commander named Ned, and his lieutenant Cornelius and looks like effectively a sci-fi chat show.
Guests already lined up include RuPaul, Taye Diggs, Lil Rel Howery, Joel McHale, Eli Roth, Michael Ian Black, Rachel Bilson, Bindi and Robert Irwin, Gillian Jacobs, Thomas Lennon, Kristen Schaal and Raven Symone.
Disney+ stars Carl Weathers and Gina Carano will also join fresh from The Mandalorian.
The back story is that aliens have called off an invasion of Earth after they fall in love with human culture. Clearly they haven’t discovered Teen Vogue yet! The twist is that Ned must keep the existence of his show secret from his father who happens to be the Grand Admiral of the alien galactic fleet. He is also helped by the ship’s artificial intelligence, BETI, and the destructive CLODs – Cloned Living Organisms of Destruction.
The show starts on Disney+ on Friday, September 4th.
