Can you smelllllllll what Black Adam is cooking? *raises eyebrow* He’ll always be The Rock to me, however, Dwayne Johnson has shared a Black Adam image or two from the set of the new DC movie, Black Adam, via Instagram.
The first one is of a sound stage, which shows quite an impressive set.
Johnson said in the Instagram post:

Wanted to show you guys this cool shot of our enormous sound stages and massive production efforts and scale.

We’re hitting our midway point stride and our A-Team production crew continue to showcase why they’re the best in our industry.This is one inspiring production to be on.
Post covid and back to work.

The hierarchy of power is about to change, so the main bad guy in this movie is AT&T? The second is a mysterious image of Black Adam himself, but it leaves a lot to the imagination.
Johnson said of this:
“If you know the comic book mythology, then you know where his pain comes from.
His rage.
His wife and children killed.
His people brutally enslaved.He is not a superhero, but rather a champion.
Champion of the poor and beaten down.
Champion of the people.
And he is the most unstoppable force in the DC UNIVERSE.”
Black Adam is being directed by Jaume Collect-Serra, known for Orphan, Unknown, Non-Stop, Run All Night, The Shallows, and The Commuter. The screenplay is by Rory Haines, based on the DC characters by CC Beck and Otto Binder.
Not much is known about the plot, apart from it is a spinoff of Shazam! But I’m sure Johnson will let us know more when he is allowed to.
Shazam! came out in 2019, to mixed reviews, but performed quite well in the box office, bringing in just over $360 mill worldwide.
Black Adam is to be released sometime in 2022.
