British Indie Horror
From Award-winning South African director Henk Pretorius comes The Unfamiliar, a horror film which explores ancient Hawaiian mythology.
The film stars Jemima West (Mortal Instruments: City Of Bones) as a British Army doctor who, after returning from a war, begins experiencing bizarre visions at home. Her husband believes it could be PTSD, but there’s something much more malevolent at play.

“British Army Doctor, Elizabeth “Izzy” Cormack, returns from war to rekindle her relationship with her estranged family. Izzy notices numerous inexplicable activities in her house that her husband believes are due to her suffering from PTSD as a consequence of war.”

Alongside West, the cast also includes Christopher Dane, Rebecca Hanssen, Rachel Lin, Harry McMillan-Hunt Pretorius directing from a script co-written by Jennifer Nicole Stang.
The Unfamiliar will be released on August 21st, 2020.
