A while ago we reported on a rumor that Charlie Cox, Daredevil on the now cancelled Netflix show, was to reprise his role. Matt Murdock was to appear in Spider-Man 3.
Now, ComicBook.com is reporting that the 38-year-old actor has been spotted on the set of the production. Shooting is currently underway. This is added to the rumors that a number of other previous Spider-Man cast members from other adaptions are joining the multiverse affected movie, alongside Doctor Strange.

The Netflix shows were shown to have existed in the same universe as The Avengers, but only through very, very subtle hints such as a newspaper cutting referencing the battle of New York.
Two years ago the shows were cancelled. Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, The Punisher and the team-up The Defenders were all canned as Marvel overlord Kevin Feige exerted his control.
With a two year, minimum, contract term prohibiting re-use of the characters on cancellation, it was expected that if we ever saw them again they would be re-cast. Then Feige himself, speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, said “not so fast!”:

“Everything is on the board. That’s one of the fun things about the comics is that characters would appear and disappear and come and go.

All of it is inspiration for the future. There are some great characters and actors from those shows.”

Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon all reprise their roles as Spider-Man faces a ruined reputation, and everything at SHIELD is not quite as it seems, following the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Rumored to be called Spider-Man: Home Run, the movie plans to debut on December 17th.
