Remake Will Be Action-Comedy

Chris Pratt is attached to star in the upcoming action-comedy movie Saigon Bodyguards, which will be based on the Vietnamese film of the same name.

Thai Hoa and Kim Ly starred in the original film which was produced by Rhomhus Media and CJ Entertainment, and focused on two buddies – polar opposites working as professional bodyguards who are assigned to protect a rich dude, only for the job to go completely downhill.

The new film will be in the hands of Universal Pictures with Pratt and Jing starring from a script by Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck and will co-star Wu Jing (Wolf Warrior franchise). Pratt is producing through his Indivisible Productions banner, marking a reunion for both actors with Endgame duo Anthony and Joe Russo.

The news of Pratt’s upcoming project follows reports from the weekend that Jurassic Park: Dominion had wrapped filming –

It became the first major production to resume shooting amid the pandemic due to a rigorous quarantine process for the cast and crew and regular testing.

Pratt has also completed filming on the science fiction film The Tomorrow War, which finished shooting in January of this year.
