Cassion Andor, the second live action Star Wars series for Disney+, was six weeks into production when COVID19 hit.  The series is set post-Revenge Of The Sith and and pre-Rogue One in the formative years of the Rebellion.

It will be told through the eyes of the spy and assassin Cassion Andor as the Empire tightens it’s grip on the galaxy.

Now comes news that there Kyle Soller (Poldark) and Stellan Skarsgard (Chernobyl and the MCU) are in final negotiations to join the Rogue One spin-off.

Alan Tudyk will also return as hacked Imperial enforcer droid K-2SO. Tony Gilroy, Rogue One writer and suspected ghost director, re-wrote the pilot episode for the series and will also direct several episodes despite saying he had no real desire to return to Star Wars after being brought in to re-work Rogue One.

Stephen Schaffer (The Americans) will serve as showrunner.
