Already in production down in Colombia, Joe Carnahan’s Shadow Force has filled out the rest of its cast. We already knew that Kerry Washington and Omar Sy will play the leads.

They play the former leaders of an elite multinational special forces group. They broke the ultimate rule and fell in love with each other. They are now forced to go on the run from a hunter Shadow Force and with a large bounty on their heads to ensure their secrets are never revealed. They will go underground in an effort to protect their son.

The ensemble cast is now assembled. Mark Strong is on board, so no doubt he will be the villain as he’s very good at that. Jahleel Kamara, Marvin “Krondon” Jones III, Natalia Reyes, Yoson An, Ed Quinn, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Cliff “Method Man” Smith round out the roster.
Carnahan co-wrote Shadow Force with Leon Chills (real name Leon Chitman) who was a staff writer on on Netflix’s Spinning Out and was story editor and writer for Amazon’s The Wilds. Producing is Stephen “Dr.” Love (real name Stephen W. Love Jr) via his Made with Love Media company.
Washington is also producing with Pilar Savone through Washington’s Simpson Street company. Kathy Atkinson, Indian Meadows’ Danielle Reardon, and Jennifer Wiley-Stockton all serve as executive producers with Aaron Edmonds and Jorge Alfaro Silva overseeing for Lionsgate and Quinn Curry overseeing for Made for Love.
Sounds complicated!

Carnahan is best known for his films Blood, Guts, Bullets and Octane, Narc, Smokin’ Aces, The A-Team, The Grey, and Boss Level. He also wrote and directed several episodes for the NBC television series The Blacklist.
Shadow Force will be released in 2023. Definitely not to be confused with…
