I remember the good old days of wrestling in the UK, we had people like Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks, and Pat Roach, who we did a recent bio on. In the US, you had the greats like Steve Austin, The Rock, and older guys like Ric Flair.
I am missing a lot of names off this list, but I need to get to Ric. There have been talks about a biopic of his life, and he would like Bradley Cooper to play him.
Recently Flair has been talking about an up-and-coming biopic and that Cooper had been approached to play Nature Boy:
“I mean, I’ve heard it officially, but it’s not in place. So, ladies and gentlemen, it’s not true that he’s playing Ric Flair. I’ve heard they’ve talked to him, that’s it. Bradley Cooper is not playing me in a movie, yet. I hope he does.”
Interesting, other names have been thrown around to play him, like Chris Pratt and Sebastian Stan. At the moment, nothing is confirmed.
Ric Flair has been a legend in the wrestling arena for many years. He is a 16-time world champion and a two-time Hall of Famer in the WWE. He has also had many documentaries made about his life as a pro wrestler, and he officially announced his retirement this year.
Wrestling at the Olympics is real. Wrestling on Sunday evening is fake.
