…or is it? Back in the day, you used to get one teaser, one full trailer, then a final trailer just before release for the biggest movies. Now it seems you get a non-stop flow of them from the teaser to the teaser, all the way up to the “Now Playing” slugs. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is no different.

“Will I be back?”

So this could be the final trailer before release, or there could be one a day between now and the end of the week when the Black Panther sequel hits cinemas.

This shows that Namor may not completely be Wakanda’s enemy, and teases the identity of the film’s next Black Panther. It starts with Queen Ramonda confronting various world leaders and accusing them of trying to take advantage of Wakanda being vulnerable now that it has lost its king.

Most of the main cast return from Black Panther, including Lupita Nyong’o as Nakia, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Winston Duke as M’Baku, and Florence Kasumba as Ayo. Joining them are franchise newcomers Tenoch Huerta (Narcos: Mexico) as Namor, Michaela Coel (I May Destroy You) as Aneka, Mabel Cadena as Namora, and Alex Livinalli as Attuma.

Ryan Coogler is once again directing Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. He also co-write the script with Joe Robert Cole. It is being produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore, with Victoria Alonso, Louis D’Esposito, and Barry Waldman serving as executive producers.

The original retains a 96% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, but the audience score has dropped off to 79% in the years since its release.
