Get Your Own Excellent Adventure Phone Booth For $9k!

The third excellent adventure is almost upon us. Bill & Ted Face the Music, isn’t due in theaters until August 21st, but promotional efforts for the movie are already ramping up.

First, Alex Winter made an appearance as Bill (alongside a plethora of other notable pop culture characters) in this past weekend’s Walmart Super Bowl commercial –

And via the official Twitter account, the first poster for the flick has been released –

The (unofficial) synopsis reads –

Bill & Ted Face the Musicwill see the duo long past their days as time-travelling teenagers and now weighed down by middle age and the responsibilities of family. They’ve written thousands of tunes, but they have yet to write a good one, much less the greatest song ever written. With the fabric of time and space tearing around them, a visitor from the future warns our heroes that only their song can save life as we know it. Out of luck and fresh out of inspiration, Bill and Ted set out on a time travel adventure to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe as we know it. Together with the aid of their daughters, a new crop of historical figures, and some sympathetic music legends, they find much, much more than just a song.”

The movie will arrive nearly 30 years after Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the sequel to 1989’s original cult classic Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

The film’s original writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon have written the script. And returning alongside Winter and Keanu Reeves is Brigette Lundy-Paine as Ted’s daughter Billie, and Samara Weaving as Bill’s daughter Thea, while William Sadler will reprise his role as Death from Bogus Journey.

Also on the bill are Kid Cudi, Barry star Anthony Carrigan as the film’s main villain, Jillian Bell and Kelly Carlin, daughter of the legendary George Carlin, who played Rufus in the first two movies.
