We, on the other hand, will show you the first official picture of In the Heights actress Leslie Grace as Batgirl which has just been released.
Grace takes on the role of Barbara Gordon/Batgirl. This is an HBO Max original and will feature J.K. Simmons, reprising his role from Justice League, as Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon. Gordon is Batgirl’s father.
The Brendan Fraser rebirth continues, and we celebrate that as he seems like a nice guy that Hollywood chewed up. He plays the villain. Michael Keaton will reprise his role of Bruce Wayne/Batman in the movie, so there may be some multiverse hangover from The Flash knocking about.
Jacob Scipio, Rebecca Front, Corey Johnson, and Ethan Kai also star in the film. Bad Boys for Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were behind the camera. Shooting is currently underway in Glasgow, which is where scenes from Matt Reeves The Batman were filmed. The movie is expected to hit the service in late 2022, around the same time as The Flash hits cinemas.

Batgirl first appeared in Detective comics and was not Barbara Gordon. Following the accusations of a homoerotic subtext in the depiction of the relationship between Batman and Robin as described in Fredric Wertham’s book Seduction of the Innocent (1954), a female character was introduced in the form of Kathy Kane as Batwoman.
She was a 1956 love interest for Batman. In 1961, a second female character was introduced as a love interest for Robin.
Betty Kane AKA Bat-Girl arrived as the niece of, and Robin-like sidekick to, Batwoman. The creation of the Batman family, which included Batman and Batwoman depicted as parents, Robin and Bat-Girl depicted as their children.
