Third time is a charm for Peyton Reed. He’s back in the director’s chair again for the third time in the Ant-Man franchise after 2015 and 2018.
Paul Rudd is expected to return as Scott Lang for the fifth time after two dedicated movies and appearances in Civil War and Endgame.
No word yet on where this will fit into the Marvel Universe and how the events of Endgame will have impacted the character or the world he inhabits. Also, no news on Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas or Michelle Pfieffer returning.
The movie is expected to shoot late 2020 or early 2021 for a summer 2022 release. This will put it out a little after the Black Panther sequel planned for earlier in 2022.
The previous two films in the series grossed over $1.1 billion between them.
