Here at The Last Movie Outpost we love the cinema, but there’s also a love for all movies, including the convenience of streaming. So we are partial to some Netflix. Now Netflix has confirmed that Enola Holmes will return for another adventure. All set to return is Millie Bobbie Brown as Enola, Henry Cavill as Sherlock Holmes, and Sam Clafin as Mycroft.
The first movie is based on the book series by Nancy Springer, The Enola Holmes Mysteries. It follows Enola, Sherlock Holmes‘ rebellious younger sister, who generally outsmarts him as they have adventures around London in the early 20th century. It was produced by Netflix and Legendary, the latter recently producing Godzilla vs Kong, which also starred Brown.
Netflix states that there were an estimated 76 million views of the first one in the first month it was on its platform, based on the Netflix two-minute eyeball metric, whatever that is, hence why there is now a sequel planned.
Both Millie and Henry are familiar with Netflix and its way of doing things. Brown stars as Eleven in the smash hit Stranger Things, of which season 4 is soon to hit. Cavill is well known as The Witcher, which has a second season coming out later this year.
There is no news of a release date for Enola Holmes 2 as yet.
