Aussie Will Play Mobster In Movie
As per Variety, Russell Crowe will star in the thriller American Son, based on the critically-acclaimed French film A Prophet.
A Prophet was released in 2009 and won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival and was also nominated for Best Foreign-Language film at the Oscars in 2010.

American Son will follow a prison inmate who, after falling under the control of a ruthless mobster, played by Crowe, builds a multicultural crime syndicate, earning a place alongside Italian and Russian mafias.
Blue Story’s Andrew “Rapman” Onwubolu will direct with Neal H. Moritz and Toby Jaffe serving as producers.
Crowe will next be seen in Unhinged, which is set to be released in theatres on July 1st, making it the first movie to return to theatres since the pandemic.
