An alternate version of Black Widow’s death scene in Avengers: Endgame has been released. It’s very different to the version from the finished movie and it’s, well, brutal!
Rather than arguing with each other and trying to get one over on each other so they can make the sacrifices for the Soul Stone, it seems the original version had Black Widow and Hawkeye fighting Thanos’ army on Vormir.
Natasha takes multiple blaster shots and saves Clint on last time before making the ultimate sacrifice.
The Russo Brothers opted to use more emotion in the scene and less explosive action.
Writers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus have previously revealed they wanted Hawkeye to be the one to die in Endgame, but McFeely says a number of the ladies on the crew told them it has to be Natasha.
Heres the original scene. Judge for yourselves.

We will, however, get to see Natasha again as Black Widow is due in cinemas in November. Also, as this is comics, nobody is ever really gone.
