Matthew McConaughey is voicing the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley, in Agent Elvis, an adult animated series coming to Netflix in March.

A global superstar by day and an arse-kicking vigilante by night, Elvis is part of a secret agency called TCB. I have no idea what or who TCB are so don’t ask.

As you’ll see in the teaser, we have Elvis fighting crime, karate kicking through glass, killing people with a pen, a gun-toting monkey, and Elvis on the moon – which is probably more believable than the official narrative. The official synopsis reads:

Elvis Presley trades in his jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves – all while holding down his day job as the King of Rock and Roll.

The series is the first adult animated project from Sony Pictures Animation, the studio behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Oscar-nominated Robert Valley (Love, Death & Robots) is assisting in animation for Presley’s iconic look and Agent Elvis’ wardrobe is designed by legendary fashion designer John Varvatos.

Priscilla Presley and John Eddie will serve as co-creators and executive producers, and Archer veteran Mike Arnold will write and serve as showrunner and head writer.

Formerly titled Agent King, the show was first announced in 2019. Priscilla at the time:

“From the time Elvis was a young boy he always dreamed of being the superhero fighting crime and saving the world! Agent King lets him do just that.

My co-creator John Eddie and I are so excited to be working with Netflix and Sony Animation on this amazing project and getting the chance to show the world an Elvis they haven’t seen before.”

So, what do you think, does the trailer leave you All Shook Up or is it a Return To Sender? I’m here all week.
