Entertainment One and Amazon Studios have released the international trailer for their upcoming streaming and theatre double release. The Aeronauts stars Felicity Jones as balloon pilot Amelia Wren and Eddie Redmayne as scientist James Glaisher.
Set in 1862, when the human understanding of the stratosphere was very limited, the pair embarked on a research mission.
They flew higher in an open balloon than anyone had before or has since. They made scientific discoveries that still serve us today, but as they ascended higher into the atmosphere they uncovered the effects on the human body that we are now familiar with. They were forced to fight for their survival as they plotted their descent.

Tom Courtenay, Anne Reid, Rebecca Front, Vincent Perez, Tim McInnerny, Phoebe Fox, and Himesh Patel co-star in the film.
There will be a theatrical run on December 6th, and then The Aeronauts will then get an Amazon streaming premiere on December 20th.
