Upcoming horror A Quiet Place: Part II just got a new trailer, marking the film’s return after the Covid pandemic extensively delayed its release.
The sequel to John Krasinski’s 2018 thriller arrives this year and sees Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds reprise their roles as the Abbott family trying to evade death by hyper audio-sensitive aliens in a post-apocalyptic world.
In the new A Quiet Place: Part II teaser we see Evelyn (Blunt) navigate dangerous territory with her daughter Regan (Simmonds), son Marcus (Jupe) and baby Abbott, following the deaths of youngest son Beau (Cade Woodward) and father Lee (Krasinski) in the first film.

The synopsis for A Quiet Place: Part II reads:
“Following the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path.”
The horror follow-up has once again been written and directed by John Krasinski and stars Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe, reprising their roles from the first outing. A Quiet Place: Part II will also bring the likes of Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou into the fray, with Krasinski also reprising his role from the first movie in newly filmed flashback sequences.
The movie, which sees John Krasinski return as director, was initially due to arrive in theaters on March 20th before the coronavirus pandemic hit the country.
Since then, it has had four amended release dates. It was first rescheduled to September 4th, before being pushed again to April 2021.
After a year’s worth of postponements due to global circumstances, A Quiet Place: Part II is now scheduled to be theatrically released on May 28th, 2021.
