There’s a new image up for Tom Holland’s up-and-coming Uncharted movie, based on the popular PlayStation game originally released in 2007.

UnchartedTom plays treasure hunter Nathan Drake and with him is Mark Wahlberg as Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan. Obviously, the image isn’t giving much away but then we know what Tom is like with secrets about movies.

The plot for Uncharted isn’t really known at the moment beyond the IMDb listing:

The story is a prequel to the games, starring Holland as a younger Drake, showing us details of how he came to meet and befriend Sully.

The movie is directed by Ruben Fleischer, known for Zombieland, Zombieland: Double Tap, Venom, Gangster Squad, and 30 Minutes or Less. The writers are Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Rafe Judkins. Starring alongside Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg is Antonio Banderas, Sohpia Ali and Tati Gaberielle.

Tom has Spiderman: No Way Home coming out very soon, the third Spiderman movie for Marvel and Sony. There is no news about him returning for any more installments as Spidey just yet.

Video game-to-movie conversations are hit and miss, even the last installment of Tomb Raider only made $275 mill worldwide, which isn’t a lot when you think how popular the games have been.

Uncharted has a release date of 18th February 2022.
