At the end of last year, the trailer for 65 came out of nowhere. There was very little news about the development of the movie, and then suddenly a trailer landed out of the blue and everyone wondered what happened, and agreed this looked cool!
Now Sony Pictures has premiered a second trailer for the Adam Driver vehicle, and it shows us much more.
The plot to 65 is seemingly clear. After a crash on an unknown and uncharted planet, space pilot Mills (Driver) quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth 65 million years ago, in the time of dinosaurs.
Now, with only one chance at escape, Mills and the only other survivor Koa (Ariana Greenblatt) must make their way through the dinosaur infested, hazard filled landscape armed only with his rifle. Planet of the Apes with dinosaurs? OK, we are in!
Chloe Coleman co-stars. Sam Raimi is the producer behind this surprise project, with A Quiet Place writers Scott Beck & Bryan Woods both on the script and on directing duties. It was shot on location in Louisiana, in the Kisatchie National Forest in Vernon Parish. Danny Elfman will provide the score.
It is a co-production between Columbia Pictures, Bron Creative, Raimi Productions, and Beck/Woods. The project actually started in September 2020.
65 is locked in for March 17th in cinemas.
